Challenge
At a busy FedEx facility, every second counts. When a new maintenance technician who is deaf joined the team, leadership faced a critical question: How do you ensure seamless, real-time communication in high-pressure situations where failure isn’t an option? Missed messages could mean delayed repairs, operational downtime, or safety risks.
Solution
BAYCOM partnered closely with the customer to engineer a purpose-built communication solution integrating existing systems with new technology. This included Motorola two-way radio with vibrating alert system, audio routed directly to a mobile device and AVA speech-to-text software translating communication instantly. This wasn’t an off-the-shelf fix, it was a custom-engineered solution designed to work in real-world conditions.

SECURING PARKS AND RECREATION SHELTER BATHROOMS
Challenge
Park shelter bathrooms often become hotspots for vandalism, inappropriate activity, and after-hours misuse, especially in high traffic public spaces with limited supervision. These facilities also present unique infrastructure challenges, as many lack existing connectivity to support traditional security systems.
Solution
BAYCOM installed H6A Dual head Camera over the shelter bathrooms to improve visibility and accountability.
Results
The new system provides full coverage of the park shelter bathrooms along with broad coverage of the parking lot and surrounding areas, improving visibility into activity entering and exiting key locations. SURVEILLANCE AT PUBLIC PICKLEBALL COURTS
Challenge
Public pickleball courts have seen a surge in popularity, bringing increased usage and increased risk along with it. Smaller park environments often face challenges with vandalism, inappropriate activity, and limited infrastructure to support traditional security systems.
Solution
BAYCOM installed a H5A Multisensor Camera and secure Point-to-point wireless connectivity to maintain a safe and welcoming space for the community.
Results
Designed as a right-sized version for the park deployment, the solution provides a view of the courts as well as targeted coverage of key areas such as parking and restroom access points. The system improves visibility, supports incident review, and helps deter unwanted behavior while maintaining cost efficiency for this smaller park layout.
MODERNIZING OUTDATED SURVEILLANCE FOR BETTER VISIBILITY
Challenge
A facility was operating with surveillance equipment more than 10 years old, including outdated Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) and Dome cameras. The existing system provided limited image clarity and did not capture the level of detail needed for key areas such as gated vehicle access. In addition, the PTZ camera required manual positioning and did not consistently provide full-area visibility.
Solution
BAYCOM installed a H6A Bullet Camera and H5A Multisensor Camera to replace the outdated surveillance equipment the customer originally had in place.
Results
The upgraded system delivers significantly improved image quality and coverage tailored to the facility’s operational needs. The bullet camera was strategically installed to capture close-range detail at the entry gate, enabling clear identification of vehicles and license plates. The multi-sensor camera replaced the PTZ to provide continuous panoramic coverage of the surrounding area without the need for manual control.
ELIMINATING BLIND SPOTS IN A HIGH-TRAFFIC WALKWAY
Challenge
The existing camera layout in an enclosed pedestrian corridor left a critical blind spot within the walkway. Two older dome cameras were installed at the end and middle, but both were positioned in the same direction. This configuration failed to capture activity near key entry points and left portions of the walkway unmonitored.
Solution
BAYCOM installed two H6A Dome Cameras with narrow field-of-view lenses and redesigned placement to optimize coverage.
Results
By replacing the legacy equipment and repositioned the cameras to the center of the corridor, orienting them to monitor both entry points. The narrow lens configuration was selected specifically for the long, confined environment, ensuring full visibility throughout the space. The updated layout now provides: Complete corridor coverage with no blind spots, Clear visibility of entry and exit activity, Improved incident documentation and situational awareness and a modern, reliable solution optimized for the environment.

Our customer previously had no video surveillance or access control in place at their corporate office. Visitors could enter the building freely, creating safety concerns when reception staff were working alone or away from their desks. Employees in nearby offices often had limited visibility into who was entering the facility.
Solution
BAYCOM implemented a secured vestibule entry that allows staff to visually verify and communicate with visitors before granting access. We installed a H4 Video Intercom for secure entry and two-way communication as well as a H6A Fisheye Camera for 360-degree interior visibility.
Results
If reception is unattended, employees can respond directly from their computers, ensuring continuous access control without increasing staffing requirements. The fisheye camera provides full-area visibility inside the entry space, enhancing awareness after a visitor is admitted. FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE SECURE TRANSACTION SPACE AT POLICE FACILITY
Challenge
Police facilities often serve as designated locations for public transactions, exchanges, and community interactions. These areas require reliable visibility to support investigations, protect the public, and ensure incidents are properly documented. Following a robbery in a designated public exchange area, it became clear that the existing system did not capture usable footage.
Solution
BAYCOM redesigned the coverage strategy to place surveillance where activity actually occurs by installing a H5A Multisensor camera on a pole closer to the parking area to eliminate coverage gaps in the public exchange area.
Results
The pole-mounted multi-sensor camera provides continuous panoramic visibility of the exchange area and surrounding parking spaces, while the upgraded PTZ supports active monitoring when needed. Challenge
Parking structures present unique security challenges due to limited visibility, multiple access points, and higher risk for property crime and personal safety incidents. This customer had a bullet camera that was mounted within easy reach, allowing individuals to spray paint or tamper with the device before committing acts of vandalism.
Solution
BAYCOM upgraded the system with modern, high-resolution H5A Multisensor camera and re-engineered placement to improve visibility and reduce tampering risk.
Results
Since installation, the municipality has reported no vandalism incidents in the monitored areas! Camera placement was adjusted to improve coverage while reducing accessibility to prevent tampering. Challenge
The facility required improved visibility to effectively monitor activity, investigate incidents, and document who entered and exited the building. Staff needed enhanced situational awareness to address concerns such as property damage, disruptive behavior, and overall safety within a busy public environment. In addition, protecting children and ensuring their safety while visiting the library was a critical priority for staff and community leadership.
Solution
BAYCOM installed H6A Dome cameras, Avigilon Ava Compact Dome Cameras and a H5A Multisensor Camera. This new system provides comprehensive visibility throughout the facility while giving staff powerful tools to quickly locate and review activity. Dome cameras simplify system management, while compact dome and multisensor coverage improves situational awareness in larger areas.
