The makers of the Rajant Mesh® Wireless Network have added two new transceivers to their lineup of BreadCrumb® nodes to better ensure mission critical video, voice and data don’t get bogged down.
The Rajant Hawk BreadCrumb® and the Rajant Peregrine BreadCrumb® will allow for faster deployment, improved integration and significantly greater throughput.
“A road construction crew, for example, uses GPS to determine the precise coordinates of the path they’re supposed to follow. And if there’s a throughput issue or they lose communication with that constant source of data, they can make mistakes that cost both time and money,” said BAYCOM Vice President of Sales Scott Johnson. “Or in a mine, a dropped connection might mean an equipment sensor alert goes unnoticed, causing thousands of dollars in damage. These new nodes can help to ensure the reliability of critical connections like these.”
Nodes such as the Hawk and Peregrine can be applied on anything that traverses a job site, so vehicles and equipment take connectivity with them wherever they go, and link to each other on the move. As assets move, communications are routed dynamically based on the fastest path across all nodes within the Rajant Mesh Wireless Network. No lost signals. No line-of-sight requirements.
The Rajant Hawk BreadCrumb® is Rajant’s new dual transceiver industrial grade high-performance BreadCrumb platform. The Hawk has a signaling capacity of 1.7 Gbps and up to 6X enhanced throughput performance over existing BreadCrumbs. It offers multiple MIMO radio interfaces, high throughput, and enhanced security performance with 256QAM and up to 80MHz channels.
The Rajant Peregrine BreadCrumb® is Rajant’s new quad transceiver industrial-grade, high-performance BreadCrumb platform. The Peregrine has a signaling capacity of 2.3 Gbps and up to 6X enhanced throughput performance over existing BreadCrumbs. It offers multiple MIMO radio interfaces, high throughput, and enhanced security performance with 256QAM and up to 80MHz channels.
